Zach Chronister

Zach co-founded Mixlar and has led development of the M1X across hardware, firmware and software. He is an aerospace engineering student at UC Irvine with nearly a decade of CAD experience — starting in Fusion 360 in middle school, more recently SolidWorks and AutoCAD — plus hands-on electrical work building custom battery packs using newer lithium-anode cells. He also runs Mixlar’s website, marketing and media.

Samuel Reys

Samuel started Mixlar, hand-building audio devices in his dorm room at Arizona State University between classes and building the legacy groundwork the company grew from. He has been coding for a number of years, holds a CFP and an undergraduate degree in financial planning, and now runs Mixlar’s monetary side — ordering, manufacturer relations, taxes, accounting and business registration. He brings extensive 3D-printing knowledge and pushed to build a product that fixed how expensive, and how cheap, the audio market had become.

Our story

So we started
building.

From our earliest days, building and creating have been at the core of Mixlar. Within just a few months, we were selling small custom audio mixers across North America.

Even with a proven product, we pushed for more — more functionality, more capability, more refinement. By integrating AI into our design and software workflows, we accelerated development and expanded what our products can do.

Hundreds of Iterations

Every case starts
on the print bed.

Over 200 iterations. PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS — we tested every material until we found the right balance of strength, finish, and feel. Each version got printed, assembled, stress-tested, and thrown out until it was right.

Tolerances refined to 0.05mm. Snap-fit joints redesigned six times. Fader channels tested with 10,000 strokes.
